583. A Wordless Mind…

I write…

Out then I strike,

I type…

Next moment, I delete,

I construct words…

Then, I tear them apart,

I plan, I decide..

But again, I forget what to write,

My pen dozes off..

And my mind goes blank..

The more my inner eyes look for me..

The more I go away far from me,

Should I look for my lost words..

Or should I try to find myself first,

Without my words I feel lost,

As my words are my only world,

The more I try to breathe..

The more I suffocate,

It mustn’t be my body..

It must be how a mind feels like,

Before meeting its mental death!!

  4. Honestly, this resonates.
The last line transcribed…how it feels when you can’t get air. Nasal passages restricted. Lungs feel tight. Oxygen pressing trying to get through, coughing 😷.
Hope you feel better soon, this shall pass. Take care πŸ™

  7. Thank you so much for your heartfelt wish.. Actually, It’s more like stagnation of the mind and its thoughts, when me and my pen are unable to pour them out, our expressions seem blocked, can’t write.. πŸ€—πŸ€—

  22. Even though the pen doses off, and the mind has no words. The typewriter still has much ink, to once again capture the words; and all the heart can’t help but to speak! Blessings!

  29. Really enjoy this poem. I can totally relate. Sometimes I sit at my computer or with a notebook and I produce nothing. And other times I can’t stop writing. You captured the the mind shutting down and losing its way perfectly. -Jill
